Motivationally Challenged

I wonder how you get motivated when you are lying in the gutter. I just donít understand. A lot of life is shit and loads of people have jobs they hate which causes them never ending stress and anxiety so the concept that everyone can have a great rewarding career is not true for most people and of course virtually impossible past a certain age. It would also require huge motivation.

When you see many of these self help Youtube videos and read the books they often have this HUGE...

Social Mishap Therapy? WTF?

Hofmann: The definition of a mental disorder is that it causes either significant distress, and/or significant interference in one's life. So you might be able to perform normally during daily life, but you're terribly distressed around these social situations, such as meeting people, giving speeches, or doing things in front of people. It causes you such a level of distress that causes you to want to get help.

Well at least I know I am mental then, over 400 and never had a relationship,...

More on Loneliness

Colleagues and family members of the murdered Labour MP Jo Cox have launched a campaign to tackle loneliness.Mrs Cox had started work on the cross-party campaign before she was killed in her constituency last year.The commission, in her memory, will work with 13 charities including Age UK and Action for Children to come up with ideas for change.They will provide findings as part of monthly campaigns on people such as new mums, carers and the elderly.

Shy people, egocentric?

Shy people are egotistical, vain, self centred, narcissistic? I have heard all this before over the years and that part of having SA is all about your ego as you must think you are so important if everyone is looking at or thinking about you when you go out. I think this concept is mostly balls and heaps even more guilt on people often already racked with guilt for something they did not create or want. Its similar to the idea still having shyness past a certain age is all your own fault for not...
