Thinking I may go back to my Smartphone

Posted 4th March 2016 at 11:03 by Amara 94

It's been a few days since I swapped my smartphone for a dumb phone. The major advantages I notice are better sleep, better focus and better battery, my dumb phone is still at around 75% since the last time I charged it, Last Sunday. I enjoy the fact that I don't have a distraction next to me and can focus on watching TV,reading and doing some work at the library more than when I had a smartphone.

However not having a smartphone has lead to increased anxiety, this might be a temporary...

My second day (officially) without a Smartphone

Posted 2nd March 2016 at 19:00 by Amara 94

I know some people, especially older people in their 30+ years would think that I'm making such a big deal out of not having a Smartphone. But for me it is a bit of deal.

Not having a Smartphone has made me feel a bit more anxious, mainly because I imagine others would think I'm crazy for ditching a smartphone and it's one more thing that would make me be seen as a weirdo from most peers.

Current Job Review and some New Year Resolutions

Posted 31st December 2015 at 00:39 by Amara 94

So I started 2015 in my old job. Whilst I don't regret quitting my old job, I honestly can't say my new job is really better. What I have learned from a confrontation

Posted 31st December 2015 at 00:16 by Amara 94

I feel I have posted a lot on SAUK about the situation I had with a close friend. Anyways, I feel the confrontation was deserved and needed to happen. As I think back I subconsciously used the friend as an emotional crutch to rant about work and social problems I sometimes have. I guess that isn't the way an ideal friendship works.

Anyways, I feel feeling less able to share frustrations and problems with my friend has allowed me to actually focus on solving my problems more than complaining....

My Work Review after 1 week

Posted 24th September 2015 at 18:04 by Amara 94

I don't know if anyone really cares about my experience at work but I do and have decided to share it.

It's funny how ones view can shift over the span of a week. What was once the ideal job position for me presently, in my opinion, isn't so much again but I am telling myself that it is a valuable experience perhaps just so I can stick to the job. A week in and social issues have stepped into the job, similar social issues to the issues I experienced in Sixth Form College; the issues...
