Shy people, egocentric?

Shy people are egotistical, vain, self centred, narcissistic? I have heard all this before over the years and that part of having SA is all about your ego as you must think you are so important if everyone is looking at or thinking about you when you go out. I think this concept is mostly balls and heaps even more guilt on people often already racked with guilt for something they did not create or want. Its similar to the idea still having shyness past a certain age is all your own fault for not...

Inactivity due to Depression and Anxiety

Yes, just for a change its one of those FUN quiz type things off of the internet.

Yes I hid upstairs when relatives came round but as my parents were both nuts too that was only about once a year.

Coping with Depression

I have found it very frustrating to look up ways of coping for depression. Just as for anxiety much of it seems totally irrelevant or to be written by somebody who has never had it.



1. For depression they keep telling you to meet people talk to people and be with people. Ooops I am a weird loner and know virtually no one due to lifelong social anxiety which is the main cause of all my depression in the first place. And of course if you are depressing then no strangers...

Must Try Harder

I mentioned before I joined elefriends a while ago. Its a site for people with mental health problems designed a bit like Facebook I suppose where people can leave messages and others reply to them. However like most sites I just read all these people speaking to each other and feel like I am on a different planet. It doesn't get better or easier like the message says, it never does. I try to make some replies and comments to others but they are ignored. When I have made some myself they did get...
