    The advantage of NYR is it provides an annual opportunity to take stock of yourself and take concrete steps towards self-improvement.

    The disadvantage of NYR is if you quit, as a lot of people do, you'll feel demotivated for the rest of the year.

    Only if you decide to regard it as 'quitting'. It's okay to take a break from recovery. You can pick it up again whenever you're ready. In fact it can be quite helpful to pause and take stock because returning to any particular therapy is often more successful the second or third time round. - Rob
