You know you are in your 30s when you...

Are outraged by the price of petrol! :screams:

Sheesh, I used to get annoyed with my folks for complaining about the price of petrol. And then yesterday I caught myself having a mega hissy fit about it!

Anyone else showing 'symptoms' of getting older?

^^

Yes, a 24/7 bad mood, nose hairs, buying a car meant for someone half my age, buying 'value' items and 2 for 1's at supermarket etc etc

You know you're in your 50s when people 20 years younger than you think they're getting old!

Also when you're sprouting hairs on your chin (and you're a woman!)

Actually I would say that's a sign of living in Britain. Seem how much petrol is in USA?

But then I'm a grumpy sod anyway so I love to moan. :d

Winnie - I keep getting these!! It is quite disturbing. What gives. An odd thick black one like an eyebrow, then the other night there was a piece of white cotton stuck to my face, about 3cm long, I tried to brush it away & it was attatched :eekpurple wTF!!

Eek! You have my sympathy and empathy Iris. Mine are always dark brown and quite strong but the trouble is my 15-year-old son usually spots them before I do because I don't always see them when I look in the mirror without my glasses on.

Yes...& when you realise that when you hear what you think of as a young persons song on radio 2..it isn't!...because you've reached the age that radio 2's aimed at. Yesterday they played 'smells like teen spirit' by Nivarna!

Started thinking about getting an economical car.

Been working out my tax returns, how sad is that? :headshake

Starting to consider pensions.

I organise my utilities bills and incoming mail into little plastic trays.

I collect carrier bags that I do not use.

I weed my garden and am impatiently waiting for a sunny day to mow my lawn.

Shit I sound as if I am in my 50's!

About being in my 30's and radio: I actually go through stages with Radio 1 I think some of the programmes are o.k actually, I listen to quite a lot of Radio 2 though. (although bit bored of it at the moment..) Radio 4 is o.k I used to listen to that a lot but woman's hour seemed to always have a mills and boons type story or the way it was told gave that impression, I kind of got a bit sick of that , it would be all woman's rights issues and stuff relating to women and then at the end it always seemed (when I listened anyway) to have some intimate scene from a relationship going on, listening to heavy breathing or petting noises on the radio kind of makes me feel squirmy.
