^ Not for a few weeks but that can change!

I'm a cold weather fan so hope it will! I'll try and post a full update of what I think tomorrow.. Or when anything changes to cold!

I think something has changed in the past few years though, the way the weather has been..

If I tried to predict the weather I would go for a snowy end to January and a snowy start to February due to northern blocking which I think we are going to get at some stage.. Might feel like a slow start to winter.. Just my thoughts!

You know, it's nice to see someone passionate about something. :smile2:

I was kept awake by a heavy downpour last night - it's been on/off heavy rain all day. It's just plain cold right now. (I don't want snow until Xmas TY. :d)

Re: The Weather Thread!

Just been down at Crosby beach and it's grey, windy with lots of passing showers.

I'm not a 'weather geek' or anything, but my girlfriend always says I should be a weather man. She will ask me if it is going to be cold outside just before we leave to walk the dog. I can see the wind turbines on the docks from her flat so get a good idea of the wind direction from the way they are pointing. If they are pointing north or east this time of year you can be reasonably sure it's going to feel cold outside. If they point south I tell her chances are it will be mild. She seems quite impressed by this. :tongue1:

When I mention high or low pressure areas, her eyes glaze over though. :embarrass:

Before we went to Turkey last October I checked out the extended forcast. It predicted some rain and thunderstorms so I suggested she pack an umbrella and light waterproof jacket. She got a cob on and said I was putting the mockers on it. Anyway, she refused to pack anything waterproof, and I was all smug walking around in my waterproof jacket in the storms. :d It was brilliant one night as we had an immense lightning storm over OluDeniz bay as we watched from a bar roof terrace. You could see cloud to sea and cloud to mountain lightning strikes all over the place.

Another great holiday/weather moment was when we went horse riding in the mountains above OluDeniz. It was sunny when we all set off, but we were deluged by a torrential thunderstorm when we were up in the mountains. A comical sight really. Me in shorts and a Che Guevara T-shirt running around on a horse in a torrential storm. The rain was that heavy you could actually drink it as it ran down your face. :eekpurple

Well it's blimmin' windy up here in the North East that I do know for sure!
I really hope your right about not having snow until end of Jan/beginning of Feb, Ozzy, as I am terrified of being snowed in on my own!
(boyfriend away with army and baby on the way, here completely alone, family down south) - so as long as the snow arrrives anytime after 24th Jan, when everyone should be here, lol, it won't be so bad!)
I've never dreaded the possibility of having bad weather so much in all my life, If I get snowed in on my own will be a disaster, I also don't drive!

Just looked out the back window and saw the roofing felt flapping about on my shed roof. Had to go and nail it back on. Still very windy.

Really windy here. Weather like this makes me feel like putting off stuff and staying inside, I probably shouldn't though :/

Ah the weather! The cornerstone of British small talk.

Lol. It was really windy and pissing it down earlier. It woke me up too!
The sun is out now, but I can still hear the winds.

Very windy for a couple of hours in Liverpool last night. The dog wanted to go out so I took him to the grounds of my partner's apartment. Poor dog got blown clean off his paws by a massive gust of wind. :eekpurple It almost knocked me over too.
