Positivity sub-forum
 

Hi all.

Following on from this thread we think merging the Recovery room and the Trophy room into one 'positivity' sub-forum could be a fab idea. We're just a bit stuck for a suitable name. :laughing: Good people of SAUK, do you have any suggestions, possibly based on our current room-themed names?

If you're merging the Recovery and Trophy rooms then how about the Progress Room? Obviously this would be a great honour for forum member Progress, possibly they could cut the opening ribbon? :d

Some of my (utterly daft) suggestions:

Conservatory? positorium? giggle station? sunshine cafe? lols-a-plenty.com? rofl room? sunny side? (always look on the) bright side of life? the up side? feel good zone? :smug: :laughing: euphorium? the attic (because everything is up - kind of an anti-basement)?

You can see why we need your assistance!

I know you were joking but as you brought up 'negativity':

There's a real need for people to be able to vent and be negative, without feeling judged for it. There is also a need for people to be able to spread joy, hope and general loveliness. Both are crucial, different people respond in different ways and need different support. Some need a safe space to vent, some need to see there's hope, some need constructive, practical advice.

The positivity sub-forum isn't an attack or criticism of people being negative - just a way of fulfilling a need that isn't currently met by either the recovery room or the trophy room.

Hehe, it seems popular, I only really meant it as a joke :laughing:

:embarrass: I sometimes feel a bit self conscious when the word is used in posts. I've occasionally wondered whether to change it but I'm not really a fan of name changes without good reason - seems a bit sly somehow. I'd definitely have to change it though, if it was the name of a sub forum.

I've never really understood the distinction between the SA and recovery rooms.

Possibly because after the Basement its normally the other place where the bodies have been stashed :tongue1:

(It is a logical suggestion based on the names for the other sections though)

I was trying to think of rooms that let in light...sun room? I dunno,`tis tricky. Although if the Trophy Room is going to be a subsection in the new room,I sooo vote for it being renamed The Trophy Cabinet. I ty :tongue1:

i'm gonna suggest calling it "Movin' On Up"

its message is highly relevant, and its mixture of colloquialism and blandness ensures that while noone may actually like it, it represents the best possible compromise for everyone nonetheless :smile2:
