i think imo is basically saying "this is what i would do in your shoes" suggesting it would be what the individual suggesting it would do, but not necessarily the best course of action generally

When I see my parents, we go walking with the dog, out for a coffee, sit around and chat and play on the wii, things like that. it's just nice. I like it.
