Re: nights out

Do think a lot of younger SAers are convinced by non-SAers they should enjoy nights out etc and/or (as Waine says) either think or are led to believe by others we are boring for not enjoying it. I...

Re: nights out

I don't like pubs, clubs, eating out or nights out... and yet enjoy life. Won't allow anyone to dictate what I should or should not do.
Love staying in and/or the great outdoors.

Re: always getting bad luck

I don't believe in "luck", or not as many people see it; misska.
Us SAers tend to focus on the negative and don't see the positive. This doesn't do our confidence any good... And when people close...

Re: Do you catch people staring at you?

I live in a hamlet (five miles to the nearest shop) so everyone notices everyone else. Say hi to all - although don't know their names. Whether they stare or not, haven't a clue - rarely look at...

Re: Why do people sniff or hawk loudly in your presence?

Re: Why do people sniff or hawk loudly in your presence?

Can't imagine it's anything to do with looks.

Something I'll add to Stixape's excellent post is that:
If some people see you're uncomfortable with something they themselves wouldn't notice......

Re: Why do people sniff or hawk loudly in your presence?

Do you know these people?
Are they youngsters?

Re: Obsessive thoughts about dying

Your feelings about death may well come from what happened in childhood, MG. imo It would help tremendously if able to let the guilt go from the last meeting with your Grandmother. You were only 11...

Re: Being Judged Negatively

As far as being ignored is concerned:
It's difficult for us SAers to innitiate conversations and/or keep the conversation going. This can appear to non-SAers as us not wanting to participate and/or...

Re: Being Judged Negatively

Are you aware of confirmation bias, Hayman? We all have one and it can be particularly strong in SAers. Being so confident to be able to predict something like this will happen means the mind can...

Re: Does living with SA make you more judgemental others?

Once I got over thinking everyone was against me, it's made me less judgemental of others; because of how I felt and knowing how it affected my thoughts, words and actions.

Re: Being Judged Negatively

There were times I felt like that, Statham. Not saying it's the same with you, but tbh with me it was me over analysing. Imagining people were judging me poorly. Didn't help when they saw me...
