Re: sons girlfriend

Wow. That's an incredible harsh thing for a parent to say. Define 'life'?

Re: Sick of my life

Thank you for your reply.

Yes I'm depressed. And I've done the whole meds thing. It doesn't work. I feel that depression is a symptom of other problems and that addressing it without tackling the...

Re: Sick of my life

I didn't expect to get any replies.

It's easy for people to say 'get yourself together' but that's like going onto a depression forum and telling people to be happy.

I do try to get out and...

Unhappy Sick of my life

I have no friends, no partner, no family, no goals or dreams. Nothing to look forward too.

I'm sick of each week being exactly the same, of alternating between sitting in front of a screen at work...

Re: Facebook

I think FB is one of the worst things ever invented. It encourages narcism and dishonesty.

Re: SA in summertime

My depression is worse in the winter and having suffered through so many months of terrible UK weather (snow storms in late march!) I'm happy to see the sun.

There's a lot more people around...

Anyone else doing nothing over the bank holiday weekend?

No friends and no social life, nothing that needs doing or buying.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Re: Meeting new people

Don't think of it as 'date'. That's very loaded word with multiple meanings and expectations.

You're just going to meat someone for a night out and have some fun - it doesn't have to lead to...

Re: Ageing parents – increasing focus on ailments

This is actually one of the reasons I rarely see my aging family. Their conversations always revolve around health issues or other people health issues.

And if I sleep at my grandparents, I get...

Re: Small things that annoy you

Women who finish emails and other messages with kisses 'xxx'. Especially awkward when it's a female work colleague or a sports club organizer. Would they write 'love you, kiss kiss kiss' after every...

Re: Do you consider yourself attractive & sexually desirable to the opposite sex?

No, just avoid saying things that are obviously negative dead-ends. One thing that is unattractive to women (and men) is negativity.

A lot of people are unemployed at anyone time; it's not because...

Re: Do you consider yourself attractive & sexually desirable to the opposite sex?

Then don't say that! If a women you're interested in asks 'what do you do?', don't tell them you're unemployed and claiming benefits!

Tell them you just finished working for company X, are...

Re: Lack of interest and motivation to get to know people

I'm the same as the OP. When I was a child, I wanted to concentrate on my toys and my interests. Friends always wanted to do something I didn't want to do. And if I were forced to go along with them,...

Re: Do you consider yourself attractive & sexually desirable to the opposite sex?

People may ask what you do but it's usually a conversation starter, not a questionnaire into your applicability for...

Re: Do you consider yourself attractive & sexually desirable to the opposite sex?

Anyway to stay on topic, no I don't consider my self desirable although I look a lot better now than I did 10 years ago when I was trying to look cool!

That said when I was in school in college, I...

Re: Do you consider yourself attractive & sexually desirable to the opposite sex?

Not people, women. To PUAs and Sargers, all women are the same. You wouldn't regard members of your own gender as all the same, would you?

Re: Do you consider yourself attractive & sexually desirable to the opposite sex?

You really think you can determine a women's interest in you, and your suitability as a match, based on her questioning of your employment history?
