My partner is waiting for surgery for his acid reflux. He has had at least three endoscopies and has to be sedated as his anxiety is severe during the procedure.

Agreed. My daughter was recently in Intensive Care in Alder Hey on a ventilator. At one point I was pretty sure she wasn't going to make it. Thankfully we're back home now but she has a diagnosis...
