Also, they'll wee where they can smell it and ammonia is a bugger to get out of the carpet. (not saying that you haven't cleaned it up there!) We put down a large plastic board with bin liners...

What kind of litter do you use? My last kitten refused to do his business on woodchip pellets. Once we'd changed to the gravel type stuff he was fine.
