Hi Greenman i take propranolol for anxiety it seems to be the beta-blocker doctors like to give for anxiety. I also know atenolol can sometimes be given instead of propranolol.

Atenolol vs PropranololI
I take Propranolol which helps with anxiety but makes me so tired i only take 10mg 3 times a day. Has anyone switched to atenolol from Propranolol and found and improvement in side effects?

I get mine from the USA as well. When I started propranolol my doctor told me it could effect my sleep.I also use benadryl sometimes the sedating one.

Think I will stop them I do get the deepest sleep ever on them. I take propranolol which apparently stops the production of melatonin.

Melatonin?
Anyone taking Melatonin for sleep? I take 1.5mg each night helps me sleep well and seems to keep my anxiety down in the day. Some say its a bad herbal drug.

I think if your meds are helping i would stick with them. I have found no relief from antidepressants but take a low dose of propanolol 10mg 3 x times a day. I was on a lot of meds at one time and...

Citalopram causing hot flashes
