One of the first cars I remember my parents having was a Talbot Alpine, similar to this one but it was an older 'V' reg.
It was a top of the range model and had electric front windows, central locking, headlight wipers and best of all, a vinyl roof.
But it kept breaking down all the time so it got traded in for a Ford Cortina.
I remember my grandad having a delightful blue Austin Maxi like this one:
It had vinyl seats which stuck to your legs when you were wearing shorts in the summer.
