If you're prepared to either spend a few extra quid or settle for a slightly older car, I'd recommend the Golf's sexier sister, the Audi A3.

Surely you're joking, ®@***947;***1638;***1638;***1638;? I've always thought the Mk IV golf was particularly badly proportioned - huge square backside and short pinched nose. (Sorry, but I really hate the look of the 5-door A3 as well... ) Horses for courses etc
