My dad phoned earlier to say his auntie died on Monday and basically it turns I'm going to have to go to Japan with him either next week or the week after for the funeral. I just can't be bothered going. I know, I know... it probably sounds very spoilt. The news isn't sad for me because I barely knew her and even though I would happily accompany someone to a funeral if they wanted me to, this just feels like a massive annoyance having to take two long flights for it. They haven't even confirmed when it is either so I don't know if the cattery has space available yet. He doesn't want to go on his own, but my mum can't go with him because she has to stay and sort out things for their move. My sister would happily go with him, but she took last week off work to look after me and now has loads to catch up with, so it's my fault I've ended up having to do it anyway.
