If you appeal, you can get Assessment Rate ESA during the appeal period. The amount you get is about the same as Jobseekers Allowance (about £71 per week.) The appeal period can take quite a long time as the system is clogged up with appeals.

And as ***1103;emus said, you can still get Housing and Council Tax Benefit.
