What confuses me is tailgating makes it harder to overtake
I think most of it is pure ignorance and reactive driving, it's the most common cause of traffic jams too on motorways (traffic waves). More cars are being fitted with sensors to prevent it, and some even force the car to slow down
Personally I think they should be mandatory for anyone in an SUV (or similar mass) and heavier.
