Can I be in your secret den club? I used to be good at building hideouts! So much so that a tramp once started living in one we'd built! Kinda lost its appeal after that though.

Drove to some genuinely beautiful places and felt really quite sad and angry in all of them. I kind of gave up on the day quite early but things picked up this afternoon so overall I would class it as a good day.

Went to outdoor group. Helped build a raised bed out of big oak planks with a couple of ppl from the National Trust. Did some weeding/clearing etc..
Then hung around chatting to folk for a little while in the afternoon. Feel quite mellow.

Think were going to the Cass Sculpture foundation next week. Looks/sounds interesting - 50 or so large scale sculptures set in 26 acres of ancient woodland.
Were also getting in for free! which is always a bonus

I went for a meal tonight and most of the people there were people I’d never met before even though they’re my sister’s in-laws, ha! Anyway, the ribs were nice, and the cocktail was nicer, and also the waiter was hot, hotter than the sauce on my ribs fuh’sure wouldn’t have minded him being served up on my plate wouldn’t have minded him being slathered in BBQ sau- nvm

Wow, you’ve been busy Mo - well done!

Do you think the ecitalopram has played any part in helping you to feel a little more mellow in social situations? I’m still waiting for mine to kick in, if it ever does! I think the fact that you have been exposing yourself (oo er! )on a regular basis has far more to do with your achievements than the meds. You should feel very proud of yourself
The outside volunteering sounds great and I’d love to go to that woodland sculpture place, it sounds awesome. Btw, hope you take some piccies while you’re there Mo

Lol, you are funny

It sounds like your evening went really well Rebka and was all the more enjoyable because of the enjoyable meal and the even tastier waiter

Erm it's hard to tell but they certainly make me a bit brighter mood wise and feel more easy with talking to folk. I suspect your right though that going out and volunteering etc is probably as big a factor.
Hopefully you'll feel something positive from the escitalopram, tho it does seem to take a while to not feel knocked out by them I still do sometimes.
The sculpture place does look great , I'm just hoping it's not chucking it down next Tuesday! As for piccies, will do

Quite a bit for me for a Saturday.

Washed two bikes, one (the good one) very thoroughly.

Took delivery of new bike and unpacked and set that up.

Full chest and back dumbbell workout.

Changed both tyres on the good bike (to winter ones).

Mowed grass in front and back gardens.

Tidied up the shed a little bit.

Unpacked some old orders and put cardboard boxes in recycling bin.

(Actually it doesn't look like that much when typed out )

^ Sounds like you’ve had a really productive day there Ninja

I’ve done.....absolutely nothing

As my husband was working and my son was out with mates I had a lazy rather boring day at home. I did the odd chore and cooked the tea in the evening then watched a Drama on iplayer. Oh, and I hung about here for a while dispensing not very helpful advice!

I am hoping that tomorrow will be a more productive day.
I might cut the grass if it doesn’t rain and do some housework. Exciting or what!!

^ Aw, thank you Miggs

I eat crap to make myself feel better too - it’s called comfort eating. Accept the comfort doesn’t last for long before the feelings of self disgust kick in because I had zero will power to resist that large bag of chocolates

Pretended to look like I knew what I was doing. Thing is is when they come to assess what I’ve done and see that I’ve done abysmally they know I don’t know what I’m doing anyway. They’re like “blahblahblah, do you understand?” “Yep (nope)” “any questions at all? Feel free to ask if you’re stuck” “what shampoo do you use? Do like yorkie bars? I have no other questions. I got this this like a leopard’s got spots

I’m just used to making tea, tea! With the milk and the sugar and the teabag that I sometimes forget to take out. not coffee, I’m not too good at making corrrfee. Not adding the teabag is confusing. I don’t get it. So I ended up making tea with coffee, which really was pretty good, but they were like “simple instructions! Add the coffee, add the milk, add the boiled water! Simple. Instructions.” But the thing is, is if they were simple instructions then why isn’t the “add the teabag” step there? See? It’s just confusing.
