Thanks, Percy! I did. Apple maps said it would take 17 minutes to walk to the new venue so I was worried that I might be late. It only took 6 min. I do walk fast though!

It's definitely challenging. All the people about everywhere all going in different directions. Plus I'm terrible with directions! Being in tunnels and underground freaks me out! The train stopped in a tunnel too. Eeek! But it's all worth it for what I'd like to do

^^ Very well, thank you! Although sometimes it's challenging to meet the submission deadlines! They're fairly flexible though.

Trying on summer dresses now that the hot weather is on its way. Nothing can make me depressed faster than seeing an expanse of chubby white flesh and a goddam awful haircut

^ Did you get any further with styling your hair? Or getting an appointment with a hairdresser?

In summer I have to remind myself that it doesn't matter what I look like, it's about whether I'm comfortable. Everyone deserves to wear whatever makes them feel comfortable, and cool in the summer. Also you always look lovely anyway!

^^ I ended up walking into a hair salon place, somewhere I haven't been for years and years, and the hairdresser agreed that it looked awful and tried her best to neaten it up but unfortunately she couldn't work miracles by making it less short! My SA was through the roof - despite messing up my taper by taking some extra lorazepam

I think it was the lovely Biscuits who was recently posting about a type of silent salon where hairdressers don't engage in gossip and small talk?
Well, the place I went to wasn't one of those Salons because the hairdresser didn't stop chatting. I think I talked more during that half an hour than I've spoken all year, lol. Apparently at the Barbers the hairdressers barely say a word.

Although I desperately want my hair to grow out, neither am I in a hurry to have any more haircuts, ever!

Thank you for asking by the way, and for the kind comment too

I spend most of my time in joggers/jeans and baggy tops covered in cat hair so I'm not exactly fussed about fashion either

That said, I've always had issues about my appearance and, whether I've been fat or thin at the time, looking in the mirror is always a depressing experience

^^ Oh well done, that was pretty brave of you! Atleast the hairdresser tried to help a bit.

I think hair salons where you can make appointments where there is an agreement that there will be no small talk is a very good idea! I guess some people enjoy chatting, but I'm like you and I definitely don't find it easy or enjoyable.

@Consolida, aww thank you for your sweet words

Yes, it’s the hair dresser I go to, you book the appointment online and then click “silent service” and then she just says that she’ll ask you what you’d like done and then the rest of the appointment will be chat free.

Have you looked at YouTube videos for ways of styling your hair? I mean up dos and things with clips etc. nothing complicated. Sometimes pulling some of it back into clips can reframe your face.

Once I got my hair cut really short and it was instant regret. Thankfully it grew back quite quickly!

Thank you so much for all of the helpful info and advice Biscuits
I'll be surprised if the place I went to does the 'silent treatment' but I shall definitely look into it for next time. I'm hoping there will come a day when robots can cut our hair although I'd be scared that it might malfunction and end up decapitating me!

It took a sip of my vegetable soup the other night.

To be fair to Tina, I was bitten outside of the room that she patrols. I never see dead flies on her though. Maybe she digests them quickly? Maybe I just don't have flies.

Yeah, you have to finish it! It's a little bit of a strange ending.

Aw, Tina Turner veggie!

I'm pretty certain they digest them, so you won't see evidence really - unless it's bitten off more than it can chew and tried to take down one of those massive blue bottles. You might see the odd leg sticking out of it's mouth

Meh, i guess. It's all that's on offer atm.
