You eventually find them on a shelf in the kitchen and the fact that you live alone doesn't stop you from blaming everyone else for the inconvenience.

When the music you grew up listening to is considered retro. There are 90's themed bars and clubs now. When there are 00's themed bars and clubs I'll know it's time to get a zimmer frame and start moaning about the youth of today. To think that I sometimes used to go to an 80's club and drunkenly dance around to "Living on a prayer" and "The Final Countdown" in an ironic way. One day other people will be doing the same with the music you know. "Remember the 00's when people had strange hair and dressed in a funny way?" Children will learn about those moth eaten times in history classes and yawn.

I always used to wonder, when I am old and in a home with a nurse scooping out my diaper for me, will we all be gathered around the ancient record player playing things called records. Reminiscing with techno, acid and drum and bass while the kids wince at how old fashioned it is. It is my "underneath the arches", Vera Lynn or Glenn Miller.

Smack my bitch up we shall all be chanting wearing aciiiiid t-shirts and trying to light a glowstick without snapping a finger.

I lived in a tiny village so no off licence, we took ours to the back of the pub. It's also where we bought sweets/crisps once a week cause there was no shops.
Used to love (shyly) peering through the back door behind the bar to try and see what went on in a pub! It wasn't a family pub, it seemed to be full of working men, dark and smoky and mysterious.

Actually that does make me feel old....

The days as well when pretty much everyone had a milkman. I still say milk from a glass milk bottle tastes better!

^ I agree about milk in glass bottles. Just like fish and chips were better wrapped in newspaper Only problem with the glass bottles was the foil tops which the birds used to peck a hole in to get the cream
