5/10 is the max I can give it, me and mate said straight afterwards that Battle Royale was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better and its true.

^A really good film i thought, was hilarious in places. Most of the comedy was kinda juvenile and slapstick so it's actually more suited to guys than a conventional chick flick which this probably seems to be on face value.

Clash of the Titans - The original Ray Harryhausen original, not the abortive CGI remakes. A lot of fun, even the creature effects hold up pretty well. The scene with Medusa is still fantastic! 7/10

Vertigo. You can't go far wrong with Hitchcock and I do enjoy a good twist. What is it about the haunting scores in 60's films? They always scare the bejesus out of me. 7/10.

The Reaping - I went into this knowing it was going to be stupid, nothing quite prepared me for just how stupid though. Seems when it comes to religious themed horror films, there's Exorcist and there's The Omen, and then everything else is poop on a shoe 3/10

Manhunt - Idiotic Norwegian teens get hunted through a forest by a bunch of stereotypical rednecks (they have them in Norway as well?). About as derivative as a film can possibly be, the only thing it has going for it is the short running time. 1/10

Swordfish - Some films really don't age well, this being one of them. Laughable attempts to make computer hacking look cool and sexy, dated post matrix everyone has ADHD camera work, stupid attempts at snappy pop culture laced Tarentino dialogue. It's not awful, but it sure isn't as clever as it thought it was back in 2001. 4/10

American movie - I've been depressed for a couple of weeks but I watched this last night and woke up today feeling quite good. I keep smiling to myself about certain lines and bits in it. It's a documentary about an amateur filmmaker trying to get funding for his passion project while trying to finish of a no-budget horror film. The main guy is the typical oddball you expect in this kind of film but he's genuinely passionate about what he's doing. There are little bits of tragedy in there but it's mostly just funny. Highlights include a story about getting drunk and trying to phone morocco at 2 in the morning, A scene where mike repeatedly slams a willing actors head into a cupboard door and anything that the brain-damaged former drug addict mike schank says. 8/10

Yeah just checked to see what she looked like in the film and can remember her a little now. Looks different to her usual roles.

Sleepers. V good film. A mixture of 'coming of age' story, revenge thriller and courtroom drama. What's not to like? 8/10.

Planet Terror (again!)

Despite liking its rough, old, cheap film stock look, I'll go with 7.0

I might get 'Death Proof' and see if its any better (even though I've seen it before, I don't remember it.)

Saving Face.

Heartbreaking and I don't see how anyone can watch it without feeling deeply angry.

10/10

World's Greatest Dad

So, so, so close to being a great film, should have ended 5 minutes before it did.

8/10

Escape From Alcatraz - 7/10.

Really liked this. Clint Eastwood was great in it. It did remind me a bit of Shawshank, but not as good as Shawshank admittedly. Well worth a watch.

Predators - 3/10

Largely 'boo' for the film, largely 'yeah' for the recycled soundtrack from the original film.

Into the Abyss.

Sad, unsettling and a demonstration of the futility of capital punishment.

Little Miss Sunshine, 6/10

I've seen it before but I realised just how "indie" it is last night, the pacings off, Steve Carral gets over his suicide attempt very quickly, the sitiuations are very contived with three characters randomly meeting their embodied problems on the journey, also nothings addressed at the end of the film no one solves any problems so I can't see why its such an uplifting film really lol

The Killer Inside Me - Great acting, great cinematography, great set design....but once the credits rolled I was left wondering what was the point in the story? Didn't really go anywhere, Casey Affleck does a good scary creeper though 5.5/10

Street Trash - An 80's cult horror that i'd heard people talk about, but never seen myself. Has some really great gore and creative effects, but unfortunately the gore effects can't fill a 90 minute running, and what they fill the gaps with is really awful dirge and pretty offensive to boot...not good offensive either, finding humour in gang rape....WTF? 3/10

The Girl Next Door - Yuck! Yuck! Yuck! Supposedly based on a real event, but yuck! If it is based on a real event, the fact this film falls into the horror category is utterly insulting to the girl. Left me feeling like I needed a shower to wash off the yuck, god knows why I sat through it. Bleurgh! 2/10

this guy who is addicted to sex. michael fassbender shows his willy and carey mulligan does a full frontal too. the ending seem empty and unresolved cos he was at it on the train again. it was like a blaxploitation film with white people 6/10

An enjoyable, if not entirely subtle, '60s social satire. Julie Christie is 10/10 in it though.

If you liked the original this one doesnt quite match its standards. But its a good runner up and well worth seeing.

Fast 5 - or as I prefer to call it, Fast and the Furious 5

Pretty entertaining stuff, just like the first and forth films (haven't seen 2 and 3 so couldn't comment on them).
Too bad Jordana Brewster isn't the hottie she was in the first film, but thats what 10 years does I guess. I probably still wouldn't say no though

8.5/10

Twilight Breaking Dawn part 1:

Actually better then I thought it'd be, would have prefered if it wasn't a 2 part thing, as I like a film to have a proper ending, especially when I haven't read the books (unlike Harry Potter), so am kinda in suspense, but it was enjoyable enough and hopefully part 2 will be worth watching also.

8/10

Friday the 13th 2

The first one to feature grown up Jason (though how he managed to do this when he drowned as a child is anyone's guess) and possibly my favourite of the lot.
