Default Guys and girls section?

Hey.. i dont normally start threads in the garage so tell me to shurrup if this sounds silly!

Just wondered if there could be two new sections introduced - one for the fella folk and one for the lady folk.

I've made posts before where theyve been about something um.. Girly.. That ive not really wanted the fellas to read but havent had much of a choice. Y'know the ones?

And i've noticed a few of the males on here have been making threads about ..Erm..Male interests.

Not sure if to go as far as using a password (or something similar) on each section is really mad? Probably is.

Just thought it'd be cool to have a guys and a gals section.

Whatcha think?

Unfortunately that wont stop people coming on the forum and still reading your posts anyway. In fact they'd probably be more likely to come and have a nose what you women are talking about! :embarass: (and vice versa! )

I think she meant a private closed section, like usergroup access only.

Me being me I dont really care who reads what, ive a nack of being evil RL and openly discussing roodie female problems to shut men up or give them a red face!

I was terrible for it before I became a nutter.

or rather thinking about it ive always been a nutter in a way

You can tell im on a hypo week carnt ya

But couldn't people pretend they're girls, & vice versa, to spy on the others.
I'd do it, i'm a perv.

^ I know what you mean, there does seem to be something a bit weird about it but I can't really think of why.

I think it's a decent idea but i'm not sure it'd be used that much, most topics benefit from both a male and female POV.

I see nothing strange about a mens room, it'd probably be a bit "Laddish" so maybe thats why you don't like the idea of it. We saw what hapaned to a certain thread over the weekend, maybe we'd get loads of "Such and such is well fit!!!" threads. I don't know, i just don't know.

I really can't think of anything I would want to say, that I wouldn't want a girl to see.

A girls and guys section for a dating site message board is understandable, but I really don't see what the point would be in having one on here.

I hope we never go down that route on SAUK ever again. I think that caused more harm than good.

Gender can be added quite easy to a vBulletin forum from what I can gather from a Google search, though the idea of separate threads for men and women, I dunno... I can't think of much that would warrant separate threads, especially in terms of SA anyway. I also share Enjay's opinions on the type of debate that would go on in the two rooms.

The only other question would be if gender would be shown or hidden to members, and regardless of the situation, what about people who didn't want to disclose a gender?
