I think SAUK needs a new logo -- competition?

The current one looks, well, blue.

And like someone just typed it in 0.8 seconds.

With eBay and Marks & Spencer moving away from -- or ridiculed due to -- their current and last logos respectively, which use a similar font and arrangement, I think something 'sexier' should be attempted here, whilst still not being too over-the-top in recognition of the fact that some people visit here just before killing themselves.

I'd be interested in the members' and mods' opinions about this idea.

Me too, the logo is clean and simple and the colour scheme friendly and welcoming imo

We did have a competition several years ago where forum members voted for the current logo.

On the balance of probabilities, I think that viewing this site must precede suicide (cause-effect issue not established) more than, say, viewing the Pingu Appreciation Society site.

Oh I dont know, finding out the dark history behind the episode where pingu has to cover up his sister (pingi) wetting herself can be very traumatic.

That section of the site has been linked to at least 2 suicides and 1 killing spree along, and that is just those that were reported. Pingu Appreciation Society can be a very dark place at times.

I'm a member and it hasn't ever harmed me, as is apparent by my sensible, grounded and responsible posts here.

Hovering on a thread link should show a tooltip of the most recent post not the first post too, damn that would be useful.

The logo is unimportant compared to that tbh. I think poor kerning and un-anti-aliasing is what makes this beautiful works of ours interesting. Without those things I see no reason to get up in the morning.
