Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
^ Usually (unless you get a cut-price deal), the price difference between self-catering and all-inclusive would allow you to buy more cake than you could eat. Mostly (unless you're an alcoholic), you're subsidising other guests' drinking. Three's also very little incentive to leave the complex and explore.
I've been all-inclusive twice (excluding a cruise) and both times, it was a really cheap deal, so it was probably justified, even though I spent a lot of time on excursions. Sent from my M2010J19CG using Tapatalk |

@Amara 94 yea, true. and speaking of owning things:
what if i traveled to the future, year 2030, and listened to the new 2030's most viewed songs on YouTube. i came back to 2023 and worked as composer/songwriter and pretended it's me who came up with these rhythms/melodies and lyrics... famous singers sang the songs under my name. all songs went big and became already be the most viewed songs on YouTube. when the year 2030 comes, which 2030 is going to be the real one? 2030 where the world's most viewed songs are mine? or 2030 that i traveled to where the songs were already there but under other people's names (the real talented composers/songwriters who created the songs)? a paradox? |

Cyprus is alright, I hired a car and went into the mountains, which was fun, and they drive on the left too.
I really shouldn't have been driving though! I got stuck in a tiny village and had to let someone help me to get out! Also the capital Nicosia is interesting, it's still split into two parts with checkpoints between the Greek and Turkish sides. The Canaries kind of vary, depends on which island and where. Lanzarote has a lot of volcanic scenery which is worth seeing once. Gran Canaria seemed a bit too built up. Tenerife is OK in some places, avoid the southern end of the island, Puerto del Carmen is OK. The trip to Mt. Teide is nice. I haven't been to any of the others. I've heard Fuerteventura is nice but not much to see or do. |

Why do Sainsburys keep trying to gamify me. Go within a week get £4.50 off, go this day get triple nectar points, buy fruit and veg get bonus nectar points. Then these nectar points do bugger all.

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
An old gentleman came into the sanctuary today. And wanted a cat. I've just had to battle to stop him. We have a very sweet & very unusually coloured - a kind of grey? tortoiseshell called Gracie. She was very nervous when she came in and didn't eat for days.
This old chap was just like I want a cat, I want it today, I'm lonely (his cat died recently). All these places (Like cats welfare trust, waders etc..) make you wait weeks. He seemed to think we'd pay all the vets bills for her life (she’s 3 1/2) explained to him with difficulty that we wouldn't. I asked him what he would do if she needed a vet - oh I’d just pay for it (after making big song and dance about how his last cats bills were paid for). I knew he was saying what ever took just to get the bloody cat. S and I came up with a semi cock and bull strategy of she hasn't had her vaccine boosters yet, so you'll have to wait till that’s done. He was like - and how long will that take, can you get him to come today! When he realised, he wasn't going to walk out with her. He said haven't you go anything else? spotted Fizz (who is on lots of meds but in particular for thyroid - very expensive monthly to pay for). So, I was like - she's not for rehoming yet!! It really bothered me that he just didn't care what cat or learning anything about her. Just I want a cat and I want one today. Picked up poor Gracie with no spending time with her - seeing if she minded being picked up etc.. S has given him all the details of Cats welfare trust who have a Golden Oldie scheme where they pay the vets bills for older cats rehomed and hopefully monitor them somewhat when there rehomed. I went to speak to her afterwards and said - I really hope you’re not going to give him that cat! Thankfully she did agree that she wasn't. I probably sound awful and mean but I was so scared/anxious for Gracie going to home where she might be fine but might be neglected in terms of her welfare. He was a strange, doddery fella, confused a lot. Made me think about all the cats we've rehomed over the years and wonder what’s happened to them all. |

It makes you wonder if he chose a partner the same way. "Need bride today! Will pay for flight. Marigold gloves are in the sink!" Anyway, I hope Gracie and Fizz will find a nice home one day! |

The toothpaste I bought is incredibly minty. It's been two hours since I brushed my teeth and my lips are still tingling.

I kind of have the option to move to Cornwall now. Do I really cut myself from potential social groups, to move to a less-busy and rural area? I really would be choosing to become a hermit.

^ And out of that house share which you hate so much.. ? Go for it
I can't be arsed today. I slept so poorly last night. I've been booked in to doing a morning delivery. I've got a feeling there may be an attempt to talk me into staying for a bit after it's done, but i'm now thinking the time has come to hand in my notice and walk away. |

^ I take it there is an expectation that you'll move back into the work space you were in before eventually (with the a hole colleague)?
I guess you have to do what's best for you at the end of the day. It's a shame though that he is being allowed to drive people out of there jobs and behave so badly wthout any reprimand. |

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
crafty Amazon prime, they offered me 99p for a week. Then prime day comes along and I twigged I didn't have to pay £25 to get free postage so I could order a smaller order. And buggers withdrew 99p/week offer.
