Default Your Social Anxiety Score

Recently been looking at the Liebowitz social anxiety scale for university. It assesses whether you have social anxiety or not, and how severe it is. Just wondered what sort of scores people would get on here, and thought some people may find it useful.

Here’s the link: http://www.anxietyhelp.org/information/leibowitz.html

It’s a widely used scale to assess social anxiety. Not sure about a couple of the questions though, as one I don’t understand exactly what it means and one I can’t see how it relates to social anxiety rather than just general anxiety!

Sorry! I didn't mean to cause someone to be depressed!
It's only one scale, so doesn't necessarily mean anything.

I got:
56 (fear) + 52 (avoidance) = 108
= Very severe social phobia.
Can't say I'm really surprised!

Doesn't surprise me at all, might even be a bit more if I retake some of the questions as I may have been a bit nice to myself

What does this question mean: "Trying to pick up someone"
Does that mean ask someone out? Or picking someone up to go somewhere? Or what? I presumed it meant the first one but not quite sure.
Also, does taking a test having anything to do specifically with SA? I see it as more general anxiety.

That's surprising as I've actually got a lot better over the last year or so.

I'm not sure about the test I expected to score much lower than that. Maybe that would have been accurate over a year ago. I found the questions a bit hard to answer. I guess my sa has improved a lot but it much more the specific things that this test had some of them. I do tend to just avoid these things anyway.

I'm probably going to be a moody pants but I'm not really sure about this test. It only had one question possibly to do with being love shy, and nothing to do with intimacy/rejection. I hate questionnare anyway I can never answer them

Asking someone out / getting pulled.

Taking exams in a hall with others / doing these sorts of tests in a sa inducing location or in front of doc etc.

F*ckit I'm going to change my score 60 becuase I feel more comfortable socially Appart from the avoidance.

Like i'm fine with friends, but any kind of performance thing working in front of people I can't do. It bothers me but I try not tho think about it too much.

Perfect 10o. I was fine on the earlier questions but collapsed at the end and that really bulked up my final tally.

69... although it used to be much higher, probably close to 100. If I can get it into the 40-50 range I'd be quite happy I think...

It's a confused smilie, to be honest though i'd have to question just how accurate this test really is.
