Default The Inactive User Timer

Hi

Can I request an extension on the timer that automatically logs someone out if their account appears to have been inactive for a long time.

I've just spent ages typing up and perfecting a response in a thread. Only to try and submit and found that I need to log back in again. When I back paged I also then find I've lost all my work, with no chance of recovery.

I don't know what the timer is currently set for but it can't be that long since I wasn't inactive for really that long.

Thanks.

I believe the timer is currently set to 30 minutes, I am not aware of whether it can be extended.

I tend to copy my response if I'm typing a lot so that if anything goes wrong I can paste it.

That's what i usually do. I didn't expect it to time out so quickly though.

You could also click the 'remember me' option next time you sign in - that will keep you logged in and every time you open the site you will be logged in automatically.

I would recommend that you only use this if you have a private computer, in the interests of your privacy.
