'Find Hitler' Wikipedia game
Step 1 - Load a random wikipedia article
Step 2 - Using only links, navigate to the wikipedia entry for Adolf Hitler. Step 3 - Show your working out! Official rules say use a random page but if you happen to be reading something interesting and you think 'I wonder if I could find hitler from this' feel free to post that. For example http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talking...note-fortune-6 includes a link to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hundesprechschule_Asra which includes a link to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi which obviously links to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolf_Hitler So I found hitler in 3 clicks. The lower the better. Don't ask me why it has to be Hitler, I didn't make up the rules. You can do Jesus if you prefer! Or introduce your own rules and throw down new challenges in the same vein. |

Re: 'Find Hitler' Wikipedia game
I really often research professional stuff on Wikipedia (I know, its not the best and most reliable source... but when you're just searching for certain words or what stuff might be called it can be an excellent starting point) and have developed the tic to come to certain pages where I want to be just by clicking links, so I'm actually predestined for the game! :D There are certain things which almost always work, but I don't have that much time now and will maybe try it out later

Re: 'Find Hitler' Wikipedia game
Ah this reminds me of a similar game I used to played in my free periods at school, although we'd just think of something as random as possible and see who was the first to get to that page. Such fun haha
Although perhaps a slightly (?) harder challenge would be to find Hitler without scrolling (i.e. just using the links at the top of the article), though whether that makes it any more difficult (or in some cases perhaps impossible), I'm not sure? |

Re: 'Find Hitler' Wikipedia game
Oh my!! The random page I got was for 'Botryotinia f***eliana' the word had to be censored
But with the original rules, I then went http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Wi...Leopold_f***el (again, the link had to be censored ) then http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germany then of course http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolf_Hitler |

Re: 'Find Hitler' Wikipedia game
It's not that hard, it seems like if you can find your way to a country there's often a link to World War II since everyone was involved; and most things seem to have a link to their country of origin somewhere.
Tullgarn Palace / Sweden / World War II / Adolf Hitler, etc. (unless you start on a page without any links at all; are there any?) |

Re: 'Find Hitler' Wikipedia game
Now pick a random page, then go to the Adolf Hitler page and try to find your way to the page you first picked...
