Curtains that trail on the floor. My mum insists that the proper way to have curtains is for them to be slightly too long so they brush the floor but I don't like that at all. To me curtains need to 'hang' to look right.

My mum wins though because what she says goes

Two things:

1) Sensationalist (and in all probability guesswork) rubbish from certain media outlets reporting that the UK is 'set for a White Christmas' even though Christmas is still 2 months away and the forecasters can barely accurately predict the weather for next week.

2) And a certain media outlet predicting that 'Britain facing SNOW within two weeks as Arctic blast swoops in from east', when in actual fact, what is actually being predicted is 'Parts of Scotland and very high ground' getting snow which surely being at the end of October isn't that surprising? How is this news then?

I guess this is what you get for browsing stories on MSN, why do I do it to myself?
