Accepted a wedding invitiation!
It's that time of year; there have been a few near misses but now a direct hit...an invitation through the letterbox! RSVPed and have spent the last week worrying about it and had to make up a silly poem to calm down again
Weddings to right of him, Weddings to left of him, Weddings behind him Volley'd and thunder'd; Storm'd at with champagne and speeches, While bouquet and confetti fell, He that had fought so well Came thro' the jaws of the annoying drunk uncle Back from the mouth of the Wedding List, All that was left of him, Left of the SAUKer. In a way it's good to get out and meet people, but when you last met some of them in awkward circs then it'll be awkward again. I'm hoping there'll be a dark corner to hide in or a lady with a giant hat to sit behind. Is anyone else off to a wedding or somesuch, in the capacity as spectator or participant, got any tips to survive the service, lunch, dinner and reception? |

Re: Accepted a wedding invitiation!
Well done on accepting the invite as you know, it would of made life easier to just turn it down, but you cant let sa get the better of you and control our lives all the time. Was have to look it straight in the eye and try live.
I've not been to a wedding since i was a child so i don't have any tips, Hope it goes well for you, good luck |
