Probably better than the Stones' latest album, however... The Sick Boy part of me is going 'Aye it's no bad, but it's no great either, and deep down you know it's just *****.'

^ I can't disagree.
I hate it when they dredge up the corpses of celebrities and use CGI puppetry to animate them in some modern day thing, it's like digital taxidermy with all the charm of an automated station announcement.
Let dead people stay dead. And this is an utterly soulless nothing. Paul McCartney isn't even bothering to phone them in now, he's getting his accountant to text them in.

Incredible stuff, Nemo. You just cannae beat a slice of Renton and Sick Boy, or as SB would (and did) say: ‘All I'm trying to do, Mark, is help you understand that The Name of The Rose is merely a blip on an otherwise uninterrupted downward trajectory.’

^ Paul McCartney doesn't seem to be anywhere near death at all

They have songs that are more like what you're talking about though.

I agree with George Harrison's own verdict of the song from back when they were trying to finish it the first time: "This is ****ing rubbish." Nice of Petty Paul to rerecord George's part as a punishment for him pointing this out, and leaving hardly any trace of him on it besides a bit of background strumming.

The video is very entertaining though, I haven't felt that much cringe watching a music video since 'Legacy' by Chris de Burgh.

Ahh yes. You can take that even further however.
Every song ever written and/or released, when looking at the lyrics alone, is akin to nothing more than the back page scrawlings of a 14yr old schoolkid's exercise book.

And if you did read that back page you'd be perfectly justified, if not encouraged, to engage in a bit of

As opposed to spending £500 to see em at the o2

I'm more a fan of fun Beatles than sentimental ballad Beatles. CGI up a bit of George and John for a new rendition of Maxwell's Silver Hammer.

As songs go, it was ok. Although it's not Barry! Who to me is like the gold standard of music! However, I did like the free as a bird song they released in the 90s. That song had more meaning to it than this new Beatles song. But again, it's still not Barry!

I'd rather have "I am the Walrus 2023" rather than this schmaltzy bobbins.
