Default sleeping tablets

I got some sleeping tablets today from my gp; Zopiclone.
These tablets are not supposed to b taken for more then 4 weeks. It says after u stop taking them u may notice difficulty sleeping nervousness, headaches confusion etc. I wanted to start taking 1 but am double.minded now.

Does anyone have experience with these or using sleeping pills in general ?

Yeah I take it 2 x 7.5mg.What ones have you got the 3.75 ones?
I'd take it if you can't sleep, they calm you down and help with Anxiety as well.Don't worry.I've taken Lorazepam as well which works ok as well.

i cannot complain then! I just wake up in the middle of the night and cannot sleep for hours untill the morning, but i do usually fall asleep so have about 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep at night.
Since how long did you have this sleep problem ?

Hey Autumn, I constantly have huge problems with my sleep and took zopiclone. It completely knocked me out but I was so tired the day after it was not worth it so I stopped taking it. I also get about 4 hours sleep a night so have similar problems to you but am not sure sleeping pills are the answer. I think that not sleeping is usually anxiety related so anti-anxiety meds are probably a better option. But I hope it works bette for you anyway.

hey guys

have you asked your doc for mirtazipine 15 mg its good for sleep and also supposed to help with depression. you can only take it on a night time because ... it makes you really drowsy ..... and you nod off .. wa hay !! fantastic for me as i went 9 months without any sleep - chronic insomnia.

after trying every alternative option ( excersise,breathing/meditation,aromatherapy,homeopathy,hypnosis cd's, slef help books.. ) before i eventually went to the docs after almost a year of living in hell ..

doses can be increased from 15 mg , 30 mg , 45 mg

but you must state that your feeling depressed and low moods wont lift and cant sleep

hope this helps

:-)

Thanks for the advice, my doc mentioned that one too, she said it is an anti depressant which will also help you sleep..i said well why cant i have that one then but i have only been on citalopram for a few months and she said it is better to try this first rather then change the medication.
Am going to give it a google, i actually forgot the name untill you mentioned it on here
Does it make you feel very much like a zombi or isnt it too bad?
How about sexual feelings does it surpress those ??

I use zoplicone 7.5 mg when I have trouble falling asleep. I also use them, even take 2, in high anxiety situations or painful times. I've become kind of an addict when it comes to getting out of situations and just wake up the next day. my bad. the only side effect I get is the weird bitter taste in the morning and slight limb numbness. It does make you a bit like a zombie; sometimes I even black out actions and people tell me ' oh you did this' and I don't remember lol

I took mirtazapine for a few years. It didn't work for me.
All it did was make me brain dead zombie ,and left me with no physical energy- even confused, and put on tons of weight. It did have a sedative effect, but that wore off after a week.
Try it if Zopiclone or Lorazepam don't work.

Autumn.Did you try the Zopiclone.Did it work?
