Rang a removal company and managed to haggle the price down. I normally hate talking on the phone and I'd never haggled before!

I hope the move goes well for you. I contacted several companies who quoted ridiculous prices and wouldn't budge. I can't believe some of the prices quoted. I finally managed to find a company that was willing to haggle.

this is quite interesting to me as my family has moved around a bunch and never once did we use a removal company, someone just hired a van and we did it ourselves. i'd have an instinctive distrust of some random person handling my stuffs

We've paid double what we wanted to pay really

Unfortunately there's just the two of us and we cannot move our furniture down two flights of stairs and up another flight of stairs at the other end. I much prefer a team of people who know what they're doing and know how to move and store everything in the van. We're going to have about 30 boxes as well as furniture and I ain't shifting all that lot

^ that makes sense of course. we normally just drag in some cave-troll family members and whatnot but i guess not everyone is in the same boat with that. theres always a load of drama on the day because of said family members anyway, maybe you are paying all that money for the lack of arguments ;P

anyway this feels very weird for me to type but im actually starting to think i look ok. havent been going to the gym long but im definitely coming along with it all. someone had left the weight benches in a really stupid configuration at the gym today and i caught sight of myself hauling them around in the mirror. lets just say i didnt look quite like how i see myself

judging by how i feel i tend to think i look like a really stunted version of mr burns with scoliosis or something so it was a couple notches up from that anyways

Bit of a silly one, but I was in Wilkinsons today. When I approached the till, the girl on the till and I both said something about a bag. Then she started chatting to me and at two points in the conversation we said the same thing at the same time. We were chatting away and laughing and she said, "Great minds...!"

Then I noticed and pointed out that we have the same Pandora ring! She was like, "No way! Are you born in December too?!"

I explained that I'm not and my sister bought me the ring and that she didn't like the one for July so she got me the December stone instead.

Then my Mum asked me if she's one of my friends. I said we just met, but kept saying the same thing at the same time. She said we were giggling away to each other and that she thought I knew her really well.

Can't believe I chatted freely to a random stranger! Normally I just smile politely at till folk, or stumble on my words, or say something stupid and pray that they'll just quickly scan the **** on so I can go.

Today I told my boss after 12 years of working for him that I suffer with Anxiety. He was very supportive and offered to get me free help. I was a bit emotional but I felt a sense of achievement and it was good to get it out. I only wish I had done it sooner.

Phoned the council to get my old sofa disposed of. My gods, they have one of the most irritating phone systems I have ever used. It spends ten minutes telling me everything I just read off their website, then the address of their website I just used to find out the number to call, then a twenty minute wait with crackly music that sounds like they've shovelled gravel into an old gramaphone horn with frequent reminders to check their website, from which now most services are apparently available (except of course the one I'm phoning about, ha ha)
And I didn't kill myself or anyone nearby during this process. Give me a Nobel Peace Prize now.

I travelled to London on Saturday, as a 25 year old I couldn't imagine leaving the house and assumed that those walls were my life. At 30 I completed a milestone on my path to over coming agoraphobia. I handled the tube trains and everything else.

My life has changed so much since I joined here.
