When I lived at my parents house we always used to have hot sausage rolls Christmas morning, so I'm looking forward to those. Plus turkey and stuffing sandwiches and Yorkshire puds too!

@ Biscuits and Always

I’m always seeing men in shorts whatever the weather - it should be classed as a crime against humanity! And then there’s the ‘geezers’ who dispense with their tops so they can show off their muscles and tattoos.
Like you say Always, they’ve definitely ‘up for it

Going out to get some grapes. I'm addicted atm. I imagine them to be sprayed with crack laced pesticides...ummm. Yum. Time to go.

I was just on the phone to sky because my payments are due to increased to over £100.00. I am unsure if I should proceed with the cancellation and go back to Freeview but i would still need to pay for the phone and broadband.

The broadband and phone line isn't too bad, it's worth a try.

Often with Sky you can phone them up and say you thinking of cancelling your service and they will offer you a discount to stay. They best way to do this is to look up the cost of one of their competitors packages then ask if they will match it if you stay with them. If you do this and they won't reduce the price you can just say you'll need to think about it and then not actually cancel. So there isn't anything to lose by trying. However, I have a few colleagues that go through this exercise every year and always end up getting a discount out of them.

Also, check if they have a live chat feature on their website. If your like me and not great on the phone the live chat can be much easier anxiety wise.

I'm pretty sure my low energy levels lately are at least partly due to being dehydrated, and yet I still don't drink enough. I have a problem, I'm aware of the answer, but I still don't do anything about it. I could get a glass of water right now, there's literally nothing stopping me, it'd take all of 15 seconds, but no.

Cancel it. Sky are just not worth the effort. I was paying close to £100 too and I'm now with Virgin, £33 for TV, phone and broadband.

Yea, seems everyone does it now. No benefit to being a loyal customer anymore. The renewal for break down cover for my car was £55 this year with a "£5 off" for being a loyal customer. If I cancel my policy and reapply as a new customer the same policy will cost me £30

Could be because we're new customers. Before I cancelled Sky they reduced my bill down from about £100 to £50 but when I moved house they said they couldn't get everything up and running for about a month. They wanted to continue to charge me during that time and also wouldn't let me cancel either. I complained and said I'd go to Ofcom and let me out of my contract with no fees after that.

I've just cancelled my breakdown cover with AA today. When I joined in 2012 they charged me £32 for the year and they now want to charge £71 No thanks.

I'm paying £28.83 per month for fibre broadband, unlimited calls to landlines/mobile and (M) TV package. Tell them you're leaving and haggle.

The support is from a charity unfortunatly. There's a 3 - 4 month waiting list and a max of 12 appointments for each person. So changing to someone else probably isn't a posibility. I'm not sure it's the right kind of support on the whole either tbh. :/
