hopefully I'll have some balls and say something on tv
its a debate show for those who haven't seen it not unlike question time

topics will be about ethical banking, religious fundamentalism and exercising civic rights.

anyone ever done anything similar?

Hope you enjoy it Drimma I was in the audience on Question Time back in 1989. I didn't ask any questions though, surprisingly enough.

I have been in the audience for Trisha and The Wright Stuff, both in 2000 when I was a student and mainly for the free food and taxi ride given. I don't remember much about either.

So two of the subjects will be related to Islam then and no doubt the dawah will be front and centre on the first.

Oh, and no doubt there will be a lot of Islamic apologists and those same Islamic religious fundamentalists shouting down those who decry the increasing rise of Islamism in the UK. Christian religious fundmentalism, outside some small pockets of the UK, isn't an issue. There is an ultraconservative Christian political party in the UK - called, you guessed it, the Christian Party - but it's almost unknown apart from amongst political geeks.

I've been in the audience of Countdown twice. Both times were when Richard Whiteley hosted it when he was still alive. As you say, good fun.

^It was the local news interviewing passerby's about the industrial growth in my town. It was my dad that was asked , I stood next to him holding those items. Neither of us can remember why lol
