I am grateful for my tenacity and patience because nothing else will get me through today.
I'm also grateful for glittery skirts and Adidas trainers.

My lovely mum.

She knew I was planning to buy the Fantastic Beasts DVD the moment it came out so not only did she buy it for me today, since she bought it from Tescos it came with a big free 'the making of' book!!!! (which has some really tasty Percival photos in)

What an absolute ledge.

My mum got this excellent deal at tesco today as well, she was doubly happy because she's obsessed with all things behind the scenes and 'making ofs' as well

My best friend. I'm not exaggerating when I say that there's a very real chance I might not still be alive without him. I came very close to giving up. I'm by no means better but the darkest thoughts are at least beginning to lose some of their intensity.
Even though he has his own issues he's put up with my drama and issues for years now and he's the only person I've ever been close to who hasn't given up on me and walked away when times are tough, not even when I've tried to push him. He's been there for me recently during what have been the darkest hours of my life to date and I'd never have sought help without the push he gave me.

I love you, Emps.

Sorry for such a soppy post!

The people I work with.

This week I've had three gifts of food/cake and two hugs, all from different colleagues. No special occasion - this week is not even that unusual.

Reading some of the 'work' threads on this forum makes me realise how incredibly lucky I am.

^ That sounds like a lovely environment to work in

It's my birthday, (yay!), so I'm not only grateful for having survived another year but my very poorly cat has held on and is still here to celebrate with me and for that, I feel truly blessed.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY for yesterday Kooky!
I'm so pleased that your poorly kitty was able to celebrate your special day with you. I agree that every extra day we have our loved ones in our lives (animal and/or human) is a blessing indeed

It's my birthday today and although I would love to be able to forget the fact that I'm another year closer to popping my clogs, and have squandered so many years thanks to SA and depression.. I feel incredibly blessed to have the best husband in the world and a fantastic son who think my many years on this planet are something worth commemorating. Although my mental health problems are an ongoing nightmare I feel so lucky to have the unstinting love and support of my husband who is the nicest person I've ever known and my beloved son. Even during the toughest and bleakest of times they make my life worth living and always give me a reason to keep on going

@ Kooky Monster. Happy belated birthday. I hope it was a good one. I'm glad you could spend it with your much-loved cat.

@ Muggins. That is indeed a beautiful message. I know you've been having a tough time, but it's lovely to see that you have such a fantastic family around you. It sounds like you are indeed blessed by having them, but I agree with Clementine that they are also blessed in having you.

Have a happy birthday!
