.........I am an old git. 40 today

. A time to reflect on what little I have achieved in my life. So, do I need a membership card to join the old gits club or is it just automatic?

Kids of today just don't know they are born. When I was a lad there were no mobile phones, TV was black and white and all we had to keep us warm all winter was one lump of coal - sorry, I just can't seem to get out of old git mode, something I will have to get used to!!!

I do understand what you are saying. I am always talking to my kids about what they have and what I didn't have as a youngster. Still, there weren't all bad. Life is so cushy for a lot of kids now. I remember having to go up the shop for my mum at the age of 5 to fetch her fags and because I was so frightened (not of the traffic - because it was dusk) I ran all the way there and all the way back. That was the days when they used to sell you tobacco no matter what age you were. I could get a nice packet of sweets for 5p or 10p. And weren't the sweets a lot better in those jars? Oh things weren't so bad 30 years ago!!

Edit : Christ - I am an old git. I went to the website that picture came from and was thinking of buying that thing. That reminds me - I've still to get another pair of tartan slippers, these ones are nearly done.

i think everyone thinks like that as they get older not matter wat it was like wen u were younger, like im only just finishing my a levels an say i here some girls talking about their bfs i think omg their so young even tho wen i was their age i was exactly the same but i never used to run round the corridors screaming so every1 can hear

, so annouying but then they will prob b thinking the same thing in a few years to.

I keep hoping and wishing that those shopping trolleys come into fashion and get made in funky colours - like pink - with flowers on - one day it WiLL happen - I can't wait.

I've seen them in wilkinsons for about a tenner. If my bus wasn't full of old women who already own them, I'd snap one up. Imagine the amount of shopping you could do with that!

How sad is that! A matching seat wow. Must rush out and spend £35 on one then.
The only way i d use one is if i lose my marbles[well totally lose them, already lost some]
Then again, maybe i ll be taking that back when i m about 75

I got one of these free

without warning once. This is the one that officially made me an old man. I see there is another offer of a free one with ANY order. So I think I'll just make a small order, pay the £2.95 postage charge (it's usually free if the order is over £30) and get another free one. Don't know what for. More clutter for the flat I suppose.

first class... absolutely first class. i'm 34 and i want one, too. the fact that it has a seat attached is the clincher, for me. what a find! tremendous.
