The other day, I went to a pub in Faversham and had a beer and some lunch, with just me and my dog. It was lovely.
A few years ago, there was no way I could go into a pub on my own and order lunch. I'd be too worried about what people thought about me being on my own. Now I just think, **** want people think. Anyway, there were plenty of people on there own there, so it's nothing unusual

Managed my first longer length row since I started back at it. Did 6k in 22 mins.

Nice. I was wondering myself earlier if they do rowing on the Thames. I know there is a place that does canoeing and somewhere that does some small sailboat thing. can't remember rowing though.

I like doing hill challenges on the cycle.

I've never really been into rowing machines, but the other day I had a go on one belonging to one of my sister's housemates and I loved it! I'd never seen one like that before - it's made of wood and has a water bowl on the end that goes swish-swish as you pull.

^That's the same one I've got. A waterrower.

They look lovely and are easy to store, but they don't have the same community as the Concept rowers do, so if you're competitive you're better off with the Concept as you can compete online.

Ooh yeah, that's it.

The ones at the gym are just boring metal ones.

Can you fill it with juice?

Believe it or not I've been across the Thames of a speed boat, it was alright, but speed boats are much more fun on the sea at full speed.

I used to have an indoor exercise bike, but I sold it ages ago, really should start doing some cardio again.

Recently, I took my dog to the pub and ordered a pint and some lunch, and felt completely comfortable.

In the past I wouldn't have been able to do order lunch on my own, especially with a dog which kind of brings attention. I would have cared too much about what people think about me being on my own. I've been going into cafes on my own for years, but to actually order lunch and to bring my dog is quite a recent thing for me.

I think pubs are one of the best public places to go on your own - they often have people from all walks of life in them, and quite a few people on their own. Admittedly not so easy at weekends when they are busier and have more groups and couples.

Are you supposed to tip supermarket delivery drivers? I never know when you're expected to do it, so I usually just never do it. A few years ago when I had sofas delivered the guys who carried them into my house then sat down on the sofas catching their breath, and they seemed to be making a big deal over how tired they were from it, and I thought at the time they were probably hanging on for a tip (but I didn't give them one because I'd already had to pay to get them delivered).

Haha, sounds like they were milking it!

It depends - if you live in a place with easy access and they haven't had to make any exceptional efforts to get to your door and you've made light work of getting your shopping in ... then no

If it looks like they need a haircut then maybe a fiver - i got tipped a random twenty the other day

That delivery was absolutely insane It took so, so long to take everything out one by one and pile stuff up on the floor while the driver stood there lifting up the boxes. When it got too uncomfortable I said, "This must take ages now you can't use bags, huh?" and he said "Yes... yes, it certainly does." I don't get why they can't use paper bags like before

Aww! I might consider bringing a blanket next time

Its great most pubs allow dogs, as there are not many places you can take them. Although there are some pubs that don't allow them and are not very clear about it, and when you ask them they reply like you've just asked if you can have some free beer.
Most of the pubs are friendly though, and many i've been to have dog biscuit jars where you can help yourself!

Did my first row over 30mins ever this eve, an 8k and that was on top of doing a 6k this morning. I think I'll try for a 10k next.

The streatching seems to be helping with the left leg numbness and shifting my weight on to my right side now and then during the row seems to help.

10k done. Not sure what next, maybe work on HIIT.

I just put my head above the parapet and volunteered to be Welfare Officer for my son's football team. Never done anything like that before (ie a voluntary role) - I reckon it should be a good challenge for me. I need to do more things outside my comfort zone

Needed to get my basket to £50 for free delivery, got it to £50.05

Definitely didn't do that by adding something I didn't really want costing £7.49

I went to the Coastal West Sussex MIND service user conference today.
All the other guys from our service came together, because I live somewhat apart I arrived by myself and before them so had to go in to the conference alone and sit by myself for 10mins so I think I did well.

I admit I didn't participate in the activities (though that wasn't due to anxiety just lack of interest) but enjoyed the speakers one of which was Sophie Cook. I'd vaguely heard her story but not really taken any notice, if I'm honest, because I'm not transgender the subject is on the periphery for me but she was a fab speaker and her story did move me.

Was even funnier when at the end we had a raffle and the final prize was her book and the winning ticket went to ….. Sophie Cook

^,^^ well done both. I hate form filling, that took real discipline Galatea!

I finished composing a string quartet movement (I know that might sound horribly pretentious to some but it’s normal to me). I feel very happy as I have been lazy and unmotivated to write music recently so it feels like an achievement.

Today I was working at the charity shop I volunteer in when a girl who used to volunteer on the same day as me came in. I was pleased to see her as she's really nice and friendly and we enjoyed a chat when we were working together, but we haven't really spent much time together outside of the shop. So since I was about to go on my lunch break I decided to ask her if she fancied coming with me for a coffee - she did & it was lovely! I know this probably sounds like a really minor achievement but I find doing stuff like this quite difficult for fear of being rejected, so I'm glad I took the chance .
