I use my phone for everything other than work related stuff and proper gaming, although I have been playing only phone games for a while now.

Re: Does anyone still mostly use Desktop/Laptop computers?
I use the forum on my phone mostly for convenience but I have to admit that I struggle to read the text at times (zooming in obviously helps but then I have to slide around the page which is annoying)
I still use my laptop occasionally but it is horrifically slow compared with my phone and tablet. |

Re: Does anyone still mostly use Desktop/Laptop computers?
I would never try to access the forum on my phone
I use my laptop regularly and have had laptops for many years. |

Re: Does anyone still mostly use Desktop/Laptop computers?
If I'm indoors, I use my laptop and usually forget where I have left my 'phone; I hate using a smartphone unless it's absolutely necessary. I hadn't realised that there are people these days who use 'phones exclusively until I went to a meetup with my laptop and became a laughing stock for still owning one!
On the subject of meetup, it is impossible to access some of the Organizer functions of meetup on the mobile website or app, so access to the full website on a laptop, PC or tablet is pretty much essential. |

Re: Does anyone still mostly use Desktop/Laptop computers?
Don't know how people can use phones as their main ..browsing device
I use my phone when I'm out and about and its inconvenient to pull out a 34" monitor. I hate it, I hate touchscreens, I hate fighting with the keyboard because it thinks I've got fat fingers, I hate all the adverts that are much much easier to block on a desktop..I hate everything about using phones I have a chromebook that just sits on my bed waiting for me if I'm going to watch youtube (because I literally can't sleep without falling asleep while watching something - I can't just lay there in the dark and nod off, never ever) I don't use said chromebook for anything else because its pants, also smaller devices have crappy keyboards, I like a nice full sized one. |

Re: Does anyone still mostly use Desktop/Laptop computers?
I use my laptop but have downloaded the app to use the forum, using my phone is better at this time of the morning when I can't sleep. It's easier to keep up to date with new posts because it has a timeline feature.

Re: Does anyone still mostly use Desktop/Laptop computers?
^but then I wouldn't be able to read it and typing anything would take considerably longer as ten fingers on a keyboard are so much faster than two thumbs on a screen.
The bottom line is: I hate mobile 'phones and would love to be able not to have one. Sadly, those days are gone and now it seems it's unforgiveable not to have one's 'phone with one at all times. |

In response to the OP's question though, I do still have a laptop but I find myself using my tablet a lot more. Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk |
