Re: Rosenberg self esteem scale
9/30
Meh. Should be lower but feeling i 'have a number of qualities' and that i'm 'able to do things as well/better than others' offsets the score - i still consider myself utterly pathetic deep down. |

Re: Rosenberg self esteem scale
This test assumes that all people are equally of worth and that anything negative must just be perception rather than fact. So a poor quality person would get a low score even though their self esteem is average.
"I feel that I have a number of good qualities." Which number 2? 10? 1000? "I am able to do things as well as most other people." "Things" is pretty broad, I'm bad at singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, but am I worse than the average? I'm good at testing phones, web design stuff, making gold on WoW, do these cancel out the previous negatives? In these I am better than average compared to the general population, but am I better than the average person who does these same things? Do any of these things matter? |

Re: Rosenberg self esteem scale
29/30.
That is testament to an immense amount of work and time being put in to overturn what used to be horrifically low self-esteem***8203;. Not that many years ago I would have been in minus figures. Edit: Well, not quite minus figures going by this test. I just retook the test and answered as I would have done in the past. I got 2/30. I think i got those points because i felt that I did still have something to to be proud of. That being my ability at that point to survive even though my problems were overwhelming. |

21/30, which seems surprising but I answered the questions honestly and didn't dig too deep into my mind to uncover any monsters.

Re: Rosenberg self esteem scale
7/30,seems about right. I think it would have been lower if not 0 when I was younger though,so an improvement if not a particularly huge one I guess, still a long way to go obviously
