Editing Thread Titles

Why is it that you can't edit thread titles?

Anyway, could a mod plz change the title to include the date, 29th July, in my latest post on the meet section. Cheers x

^Yes but why? Seems strange as you can edit the 1st post but not the thread title itself.

^ To the best of my knowledge its not an option we can change, its just how the forum software works.

I think people mean editing the thread titles of thread topics that one created themselves (so only you or the mods can edit them), it's an option allowed on other forums I've used.

but I made one "do you like David Cameron?" I don't think it would go down to well if i edited it to "do you like britney spears?" I don't think it would go doon very well at all (especially if you consider the fact that most buggers have already voted on it!!
