Check if your email/passwords have been leaked.

Someone logged into my twitch account. Not much of an issue, as it means nothing to me and I just reset my password to lock them out, but I decided to see if my email/passwords had been leaked at any time. It turns out around 15 times over the years.

The unencrypted passwords were all old out of use ones, but the encrypted ones could be in use, as the latest leak that affected me was in January.

Yes, exactly as you described. They can choose to archive their streams or not, I prefer they do as it's more convenient. No I've never streamed, I struggle to answer the phone lol.

I used to just put Twitch on at work while I was testing phones, as their streams are often over 12 hours long, so I could just have one stream on to break the monotony while I work.

I've joked with my brother that I can go to pretty much any website, do the forgotten password routine and I'll likely already have an account on it. I've been very active on the web for the last 25 years and have never changed email address.

^ Ah! I've only been on the interweb for 22 years and in the days of dialup, I used it only when necessary for business purposes (I was running my own business then). I've used it more since getting broadband (probably 2003 onwards) but am still not prolific, even though I'm constantly connected. I think I've had this e-mail address about 15 years or so.

Thanks for posting Schmosby - really useful. Thankfully none of my emails are hacked. Although my hotmail seems to get loads of spam emails which is why i'm gradually trying to move over to yahoo.
