i'm thinking if i'm allowed then i can post on this thread once a day after i've done my daily exercise and then when i see it on here it'll encourage me even more and to continue doing it.. i really want to go jogging but i'm a little self conscious i don't know why though as i don't think anybody would mind or care..and i see people doing it all the time...but i've never jogged or ran around the streets/roads so the prospect is a tiny bit daunting |

Re: The Exercise Thread
Anyway, I done it again last night. I had done my pull-ups and chins the night before, so I was already aching, but I still went out jogging and came home to some sandbag stuff. Today I shall eat a lot, drink a lot, sunbathe a lot and reflect on why I'm doing this to myself. Dx

Re: The Exercise Thread
Is there a way specifically to remove the fat from your face, or does it only come with full body exercise? Of course I want to do the latter but want to know if there is anything I can do as well which could speed up the face thing.

One thing I get confused about is how many calories to eat to gain muscle but lose weight. I know that you need calorie deficit to lose weight, but not sure if this also applies to when gaining muscle. EDIT: interesting article here http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/fat_...gain_trick.htm |

Re: The Exercise Thread
Still doing my weights but im making no gains what so ever. :/ I think its because my diet has gone tits up. Lost 4 pounds through nervous energy and low calorie intake. This is not good at all.

Have you ever considered taking a high carb gainer? It's something I'm looking into at the mo as I find it difficult to eat a large amount of calories, but I've always been a bit wary of supplements so I a bit more research is needed I think. Do still seem to be making some gains though; sticking to 8-10 reps, protein shakes after workouts and eating a ton of brown pasta and rice seems to be doing its bit. |

The heat my arse! Get ya fan out. Ive been working out either early mornings, 7,30ish or late at night 10pm. It tends to be cool around those times. Im sticking to it because im enjoying it. Seeing gains for the first time was big for me, I havnt looked back since but its come to a bit of a halt gain wise. I started thinking about supliments and protein shakes in the last few day but I dont trust these big companies. They are happy to feed the public shite and make us sick just so long as they make money. ( speaking generally). Im gonna need to do my homework on these products because I like to know whats going into my body. We shall see |

Re: The Exercise Thread
Haha. I don't have a fan. Plus my bedroom's in the roof of the house so it gets reallllly hot. And 7.30? Haven't seen that in a few good years :P
Yeah same, I really enjoy it, I actually have to stop myself from doing press-ups otherwise I'd end up doing them every spare second of the day. Yup, I'm with you in relation to the big companies. When I was looking into protein shakes I found that almost all of them contain artificial flavours, some of which can affect people pretty adversely. Aspartame is something to avoid if I remember rightly. I take this protein shake: http://www.powerbody.co.uk/product-d...268g,5077.html It has no artificial flavouring or MSG and the vanilla is really good to mix other stuff - I mix it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, milk and two bananas! It's been good for me I think as I'm not a massive meat eater, so sort of makes up the difference. |

I know myprotein don't use aspartame, but they use sucralose - not sure if that is dodgy, although so far can't say I can feel any adverse effects! |

Re: The Exercise Thread
@Disappear
@this is the one Thanks for the links, i'll be sure to check them out. Maybe Im just need to up the kg's im lifting. Im going to give it another month with slightly heavier weights and more reps on the calisthenics. With smoothies with nuts in them as my substitute for protein shakes. See if it makes a difference. Then I'll revise my decision on the shakes depending if ive made gainz or not. Cheers. |

I get my protein via a post work out meal. Consume eggs and nuts on a daily basis. Plus smoothies with almonds in them. I am inconsistent with the smoothies and general protein intake in the last month, mainly because of bad habits coming back but these courses Ive been on hasnt helped, theyve messed up my meal times and im burning alot of nervous energy now ive upped the anti on the exposure thing. When I get home and ive been out all day, sometimes the last thing I want to do is cook. Im starting to adapt to my new social regime, so we'll see what happens in the next four weeks. My post workout meal has always remained the same though. Quote:
