Yeah, that's a good point, well said.

I'm not to say where it should go, but it ought to be separated from this thread. It's it's own thing - it would benefit being it's own thing too. Well, it would've done ....

I ain't saying anymore about it.

^ I didn't take it that you were stressed at all about it and I thought you were right to suggest it was moved to a separate thread.
I'm sure a lot of people don't want to read politically related back and forth disagreements outside of the basement. I just can't resist butting in when I have a thought about something

Ran into the bloke today that came on to me the other week. Kept it friendly and he did sort of apologise and hoped he hadn't overwhelmed me or made me feel bad. Tho he still fancied meeting up with me down my way!
I played the anxiety card - not this is a lie but I just explained to him that I get anxious meeting ppl etc etc.. I was sat in my car, driving off but he still managed to keep me stuck in the car park for 20 mins. I don't mind him but sometimes I can just do without being bombarded with other ppl's problems (which is what he got on to). Esp as I had such a good morning with the outdoor group, we tend to just have general chats and a lot of easy going banter.

Today from my walk home from the supermarket a lovely chap said to me oi you c**t you better watch out cos ill batter you.. Im thinking about all the scenarios and what i could do as a comeback, like one being me turning around and saying go on then. Or me telling him you better watch out or ill batter you. Or going full psycho and waving my arms around like Bruce Lee.. unfortunately or fortunately im sat on my sofa and its all a bit too late ha what ended up happening was i just sheepishly carried on walking hoping nothing bad would happen.

I just got an email from Greggs that says I can have a free lucozade on them. I feel honoured. I don’t really like Lucozade.

I think the thing to take away is that at the end of the day you're nice and warm at home with your shopping, and he's a complete ****, so I'd say by anyone's standards you're the winner.

What a horrible man you encountered Wez. Yes definitely don't feel bad for not having a comeback. You were classy and smart, and you're safe now. He's really not worth the hassle.

Awkward moment this morning on the school run as I trotted past the group of cool mums who I talked to on WhatsApp, but don't talk to on the playground. Why do I do that

Why don't I even want to do anything any more?
I need to take some holiday before year end but all the options just don't excite me at all. I have three weeks vacation time left. I have the money to do something adventurous. I just don't have any motivation.

How to use the 11.5 holiday days I have left to take before the year is out.

I'm pretty certain five days are going to go on the week prior to the week and bit we get off over Christmas on top of our holiday allowance (rather jammy, yes), leaving me 6.5 to play about with. Then, I think it's a toss up between a week off in November, or having every Friday off in November - I can't decide which would better.

That will leave me with 1.5 to carry across to next year, which will make my inner hoarder rather happy.

I don't think I'll be able to use up my holiday. I hoard it up like it's money, then the end of the year comes and I've only used half. It's not money.

^ That's why I've ended up with so much left. Do you have a limit to how many days you can carry across? Our maximum is 2.

^ Right? It's edging it for me, I think.

Slightly, though my manager is really relaxed about holiday - she's said before that as long as it's not on an event I've previously committed to, she'll always say yes (even if it's the next day).

I can't carry over any. I don't think I can anyway. The thing is, I keep meaning to leave the job before the year is out ... but I haven't.
