^ Oh no not another noisy neighbour! Why are people so inconsiderate, it's far too late to be making noise.

I'm starting to wonder if human contact and people that love us in some way is a basic human need.... I mean lately I've felt quite relaxed and calm, but it still gets me down that I'm possibly going to end up alone - I just feel it will be more difficult. You don't realise what you've got until it's gone, so if someone is severely lacking in close relations, this causes loneliness and suicidal feelings in many cases. I mean it's not good for mental health to be very isolated and rejected and many people choose suicide, and I guess people can kind of crave that kind of closeness if it has been lacking entirely for some time, a bit like a less severe form of starving to death - it would no doubt take it's toll on a persons mental state. I don't think it's fair.

Maybe it's just within a males nature to respond like that given it has been so lacking otherwise? Sorry if I've got this wrong, I'm only speculating. It is normal for family to care more than friends and it's a kind of love that can be common in relationships also - without the flirting and sex obviously.

I'm thinking about what will happen when I go back home, it's going to feel weird after 5 months away. I'm just hoping the house is still standing!

I'm wondering where I can get one of these new chin masks that everyone seems to be wearing these days... they look so much more comfortable than the sort that goes over your nose and mouth! I've no idea how they work, must be very advanced technology. (angry sarcasm off)

Even better...the wrist mask, where you use the ear elastic to walk around dangling the thing from your wrist.

Is anyone else finding themselves drawn to sitting on the floor in this heat?

^^ @KookyMonster Finnish I did see that was added, I feel that would be far beyond me though- am attempting French and it's a very poor attempt. My brain rejected all language classes at school back when my brain actually worked so now there's no hope. All the more reason to keep going though I guess, something must stick in there one day

You definitely win with the wizard thing, I have no clue

^Not yet @RocketSpud, although the bedrooms are seemingly 3 circles of hell hotter than the downstairs. I have been considering sleeping in the bath though if this goes on much longer

^ Yeah, they say heat rises. I think i feel more comfortable not being enveloped in the cushions of the sofa perhaps.

Looks like the thunder missed most large urban areas last night, except Stoke. I woke up a few times, though not nearly as warm and sweaty as previous nights

I do this in hot weather. I lay on the floor, head propped up against the sofa and I just watch TV that way. To sit on the sofa takes too much energy when you are completely drained and can't maintain a sitting position.

Yeah, i think that's certainly a factor, the effort of sitting upright. I find myself sitting upright off the back rest, then forward resting my elbows on my knees, then back upright, and so on. After a while the desire to sit on the floor overwhelms.

I hope so! Let's face it, if less is going in than expected then I'll be starting to lose English too . My memory is terrible since a lot of years of meds, so I struggle to force something in then forget it the instant I'm not using it, I feel your pain. Did you ever get any further forward on the whole Finnish-wizard thing? I am oddly intrigued

I've also had one of them days at work where I've had more human interaction than I'm used to/capable of. The way I am - I'd be embarrassed if I was 20, at my age I really do feel like a waste of space at times
there could be reasons for that..

Well me organisation is restructuring, mostly for the future - too many ppl need MH help/support but there's not enough money etc.. Just been reading the proposal. Not sure whats worse the potential change for service users (time limits for 1:1 support, a central number rather than being able to contact recovery workers directly, potential waiting lists in some areas, prioritising ppl who arn't under NHS mental health services etc etc..) or the change to staff structure. Think 20 jobs are up for redeployment. Mine is not but with my service merging with another my manger is probably buggered - I suspect the manager of the other service would get the new management job as she is more experienced and more qualified. So God knows what he may be redeployed too. Looks like I and all support workers are going to be moved to a central team which I'm not pleased about. I specifically wanted the job because it meant working in the area that i lived . Plus I like are little team and i've started to build relationships with the service users in our service.
Will have to see how it goes.

Also got a random call from the hospital about my routine colonoscopy . Seemingly they've arranged for me to go to the posh private hospital nearby instead . Guess cause of covid19.

Too many things going on at once at the min

Sometimes I could really hate my neighbour. Who lights a bonfire feet from the house then sits outside all night stoking it so I either get a face full of smoke or shut the window and boil? I'm too hot and hormonal for this sh*t, luckily for all concerned it's gone the crying route not the hanging-out-the-window swearing one (which has happened before although not for a long time, look at my self-control and personal growth...not).

Some neighbours just don't care, we had some who would stand at their back door at all hours smoking and coughing so we couldn't leave bedroom windows open at night. If I forgot they would wake one or more of the kids up and once my kids woke there was no going back to sleep
