^ So many police officers are being found to be dodgy at best, and dangerous at worst recently.

Phewf on the job, bet that’s a huuuuge relief!

I have a blood test scheduled tomorrow, and another on Friday (for a different condition). I'll be surprised if I have any blood left by the weekend!

^ good luck Tubbs!

I'm feeling a lot better this afternoon. I haven't even taken any painkillers for nine hours and I have a slight pressure in my forehead, a sore throat and cough but that's all. This morning I would almost have performed self-trepanation with a rusty corkscrew.

^ sorry to hear you’re feeling a bit of anger. I get that a lot, but listening to my favourite music helps calm me down a little. How are you feeling now?

I have the most painful ulcer ive ever had. Though I think it’s something worse than an ulcer. My whole inner cheek is swollen, and now my whole gum area is aching. I’m not sure what the hells going on.

But what the hell do I do? My dentist closed down, and I can’t get on an NHS waiting list because there isn’t one. I have no choice but to go private which I can’t afford

^that sounds awful tembo wish there was something I could say.

As for me, well I thought I had a fungal nail infection. I took a nail cutting to the GP , and the test came back as no infection.
My nail is brown and thick and hurts when pressed.
So something's gotta be wrong. I've just emailed a chiropodist to see if they can help.
At the moment I just feel like the NHS can't be bothered with you. Just being fobbed off.

You probably could see your GP about that, if you can get an appointment of course!

^I hope it's feeling better/you found someone to help Tembo, that's awful. GPs here refuse to see anyone with anything dental-related, even in an emergency (great in a county that until recently and maybe still had/has no NHS dentists taking patients). I think the only options we were told was private or A&E and hope someone will give you at least a covering prescription, but that still wouldn't deal with fixing whatever the actual issue was. What a time to be alive

Blighted,..or perhaps smited, or some kind of cursed "ited"

Things seem to happen in threes,..

Last week my washing machine went on the blink,
This week my (fan assisted) oven went on the blink,
Now, the final indignity, my once faithful kettle has decided to start malfunctioning,.. ..
Feel like I'm in the middle of a technocological meltdown.

I'll be out in my garden soon with a scrubbing board hand washing my clothes and boiling up some tea on a camping stove whilst roasting some taitters on the campfire.

Exhausted. Felt knackered for 3 days. My thighs feel like they have concrete slabs on them and it’s absolutely freezing today. I’ve been munching cookies which isn’t going to benefit my body much but it does mean I can curl up in a ball of the sofa and scoff them with minimal effort. I have a very short attention span lately. Very few things entertain me for longer than 5 minutes.

Close to the end of my tether.
I'm really hoping I find out something today. I've been going round in circles with various NHS services but I have a face to face appointment this morning. I'm not very optimistic of finding an easy solution but at least I can figure out what it is.

Feeling anxious. Got the chiropodist coming soon to sort my toe nail out. Not seen one before so I hope she's nice.

Also we had mouse droppings under the sink cupboard and on the kitchen floor this morning. I sometimes hear it in the ceiling at night knawing and it makes me really anxious. I worry if it's chewing through cables.

So I'm going to have to be tough and set a trap to kill it which I don't like doing but I don't feel good about those humane traps either. The tail can get stuck in the door and cause it more distress so it's probably just best to kill it outright. It's only what a cat or bird would do :/

I think I'm on the mend. Scary meeting with GP*, but the antibiotics she gave me seem to be winning against whatever had decided to take residence in my throat and trash the place.
Hopefully this time next week I'll be back to my normal self.

* scary in a "constant mention of risks of sepsis" way, which is the bad ending you don't want to get.

Make sure you work out where it was coming in to the kitchen and block any holes etc, or you might get more again.

Phewf. Do they reckon in strep throat? I had that last year - took forever to kick, I could barely speak and was put on antibiotics.

I'm going to ring the doctor on Friday if I'm still sinusitising because it's getting annoying now. I'm imagining them asking me to send a photo of my snot *bleugh*

^ don't know; just "a throat and chest infection"
At least the chunky antibiotics are crushing it over time.
I look forward to not being constantly waiting for a timer to expire to take my next medicine.

I drew myself a medical chart to fill in every time I take medicine, drink water or have a wee. It's like the world's most boring RPG game. (You have levelled up from -5 to -4. New ability unlocked: speech!)

Mentally though, what's the point?
I've got a week off and I'm just devoid of any motivation at all.
