I usually keep them in the freezer and take out a few to have with porridge or yoghurt, sometimes make a sauce to have with meats. If I gets lots today though I'll be making some blackberry vodka too

Yeah that's the plan, even now Im trying to not take it every 4 hours on the dot. In the morning and middle of the night its non optional but after a dose at 8am ish I didn't take anymore till after 1pm and then the next not until 7pm. If I don't feel I need it I try and wait. Previously I'd got it down to just eve and 1st thing in the morning but then everything got worse again
Sounds good. At the moment, while you're waiting for physio, you'll just have to take them when you feel you need them. I don't know how you've been managing to go to all the places you go to with the pain

A few years ago I needed to take codeine most days and I never became addicted to the pain killers.
Ah yes, I forgot to mention this. Codeine can be quite good for IBS sufferers.

They recommend no longer than 3 days use, but I expect that is taking them every 4 hours for 3 days. I don't think it's addicted in the sense of, 'I must take more!' but the side-effects of stopping them causes you to take more to get rid of the side-effects, if that makes sense.

I can't believe it was only a few weeks ago that I was sweating buckets in a mini heat wave. Today it is feeling decidedly chilly but I'm happy with that because it means I can snuggle up under the duvet with my tortie

^ Yes?

The dog seems confused about the weather and doesn't know where to put herself - 'looks sunny .. yet chilly. Hmm'.

I did and it was very nice. First time I've been for a ride along the Thames on my lonesome. Got a bit lost, but worked it out.

Thanks Well there comes a point when if you don't go out you start to go a bit loopy! The cat sanctuary was hard tho.

Yeah Hopefully I'll be able to taper off naturally when the (fingers crossed) pain gradually reduces.

I drove today as I needed to go to a town where there's no sunday bus service. Jeezus driving appears to be the most painful activity of the lot. Won't be doing that again in a hurry.

So apparantly I'm going to Loose Women on Wednesday

My friend in Bognor got 2 free tickets and wants some company. I'm not a huge fan of loose women but it's something different I guess. Plus it means travelling to London which although I live only about 45 miles away I haven't done for 15+ years. Going with someone else might help me get over being avoident about it.

So providing we get are arses organised, tune in on wed and you might see me

Wow. That's sounds pretty cool. I bet you'll have a great time.

I shall look out for a woman in the audience mainlining codeine.

Haven't a clue, they don't seem to release who's going to be on in advance.

Yeah, well it's something different I guess. I quite fancy just the trip to London tbh, it's a good excuse to make me go. Hopefully, it seems to be ever present at the min.

How do people who work full-time manage to get their laundry done?
I have a serious laundry backlog. I'm not supposed to leave the washer dryer on when I'm not in (as it's a fire risk) or at night (it's noisy) so I only have about three hours on a weekday, and I don't even have a social life to speak of. Most wash loads seem to need about twice that in terms of washing and drying. I end up wearing things for far longer than I should really.

^ I used to do mine when I got in from work, cycles are less than 2 hours and then I just hang them on the clothes horse to dry.

My Mum often does washing before she goes to work and hangs it on the line if there's time. That does involve putting the washing machine on before 7am though!

I don't have any outdoor space and I'm not supposed to dry stuff inside on racks. I don't know, one of those stupid things in the contract, probably to avoid damp.

We use a heated clothes horse thing, it's quite good when you can't put your washing outside to dry.

Just hope we get in....
