I probably haven't caught you in time, Jen, but if you do see this, I hope everything goes as well as these things can - and that the gathering isn't too anxiety-inducing.

^ For some strange reason, the forecast itself completely passed me by!

If only Michael Fish would dress like that (to liven things up a bit). Actually, it's probably not Michael Fish now, is it? Shows how long ago I actually watched telly.

^ Blimey. It's certainly colder than it has been for a while. I'm seeing the coldest temperature that i've experienced whilst in this flat (just over 16c) and it's usually comfortably warm (20c ish) without any heating.

The sky television signal was rubbish earlier, probably means the weather is bad somewhere else, really bad.

My hayfever has been playing up today - think it's cos of the wind. I've been sneezing quite a bit and had the itchy eyes this afternoon. Got the sniffles now.

**** the wind.

^ the strong wind combined with all the cherry trees in full bloom has been killing me today.

Not complaining, mind. This lovely weather has made the lockdown more bearable.

Ha, yeah they're bursting with bloom right now. Is it cherry tree or blossom? They look stunning though, lot's of healthy colour all around atm.

Yes! Have you seen the smaller trees that are a bit darker in colour and more abundant with petals? The 'petal density' is ridiculous. I might take a picture of one, they're really impressive.

^ you should. It's a good time for a bit of amateur photography :-) I don't think so, we just have lots of full size cherry trees lining the pavements. But yeah Spring has certainly sprung. It'll be time for azaleas, fuchsias etc. to bloom anytime now too

I don't usually get hay fever until late May/June but it's terrible tonight. Even the antihistamines I get from the GP aren't relieving the itchy eyes and nose. I wouldn't mind if I'd actually been out somewhere

Mines worst around May/June, it's unusual to be experiencing these symptoms at this time of year, usually with tree pollen i get headache, fatigue and moodiness. Grr. I do have antihistimines from last year somewhere but i have zero faith in them (they're as good as useless most the time).

Barely been a drop of rain up here in Scotland for the last 4/5 weeks. Today was wall to wall sunshine (still chilly though, because of the ever present cold wind in Aberdeen). more of the same forecast for the next week and beyond.

Ime somewhat pissed off that I cant get out into the countryside hills and mountains, it would have been great weather for hiking, too

You should get an app. Mine's a bit hit and miss sometimes but on the whole it's quite good.

I also know the names of at least 6 other shrubs and green things

I got a brilliant RHS month by month book that does just that. There's only about 10 pages to read per month, and it tells you what plants to look out for, jobs in the garden, general tips and tricks etc.
