just interested to know how it is for other people?? for example.....
(my answers in brackets)...

how long is it since someone added you on facebook? (2 years)

how long since you had a social phonecall/text from a friend? (about 1 month)

when was your last social/night out/day out with a friend or friends? (1 month and before that another 3 or 4 months previous)

i think my situation is horrendous, so would be interesting to compare.
if anyone has any other questions just add them!

how long since you had a social phonecall/text from a friend? (4years+?) lol I have had some before but I won't consider them that much of a social/fun convo

when was your last social/night out/day out with a friend or friends? (Never) Since the ones I've been to I don't consider them like close friends.

when was your last social/night out/day out with a friend or friends?(about a month ago to a political event-but I do have some good friends there, about a month before that socially)

Thanks for the post. I had an idea but didn't know how bad my social situation was. With work and family and community work, it kind of masks the fact that I'm actually quite isolated. Am going to address this in the new year.

haven't spoken to a friend on the phone for around 6 years.

social outings? except for family i've had 4 outings this year with one friend before that i hadn't since 2004.

About twenty years ago, then I ended my relationships with all my friends.

Three or four weeks, I think.

Not including direct responses to my own texts, Wednesday.

Not including SAUK meets, Saturday.

I hope this doesn't give the impression that I have some kind of hectic social life, because I really don't. Until recently, when an old friend of mine moved back to town, the last two could easily have numbered in the months rather than days. And the Facebook question you just happened to ask the question not long after someone added me; it isn't something that happens all that frequently.

1) How long is it since someone added you on facebook?

Hmmm, a while I think, I usually add other people. Unless them accepting you counts?

2) How long since you had a social phonecall/text from a friend? On Saturday.

3) When was your last social/night out/day out with a friend or friends? Yesterday, that was only to collect my work the school would have kindly thrown out if it weren't for my friend taking it home for me! It was also to 'catch up' as we hadn't seen each other since they went back to 6th form in September and I started volunteering.

Again that doesn't look too bad but if you compare that to last year when I wouldn't even sit in the back garden for fear of being spotted by someone, I'd say I've come a long way!

i thought it might be a stupid post but quite glad i did it now...

some people seem to have noticed an improvement in their situation from a year ago so that's great

i guess thinking about these things can act as an incentive to get your arse in gear to improve your own situation too......i hope santa brings me lots of friends for christmas!!!!! lol

Apart from my partner, my dog and my parents who live 94miles away I have absolutely no one else. I've several attempts to make friends, meet people. Did sash meeting, did all girls meets in London, tried to meet people off this site, go for walks, coffee etc. Just doesn't work. I guess some people are destined to be in a situation like this.

Na its not that bad, its not great mind.

Facebook = Never
Phonecall from a friend = Probably about 9 years
Last night out with a friend = October 2001 I think

Thats basically the same as myself, I'm amazed to be honest as anytime there is a thread on here about how many friends we have everyone always says none, and then you see this thread and the vast majority do actually have friends.
