Default Things to add to FAQ or post

  • no whispers
  • usernames need to be reregistered
  • limits on avatars-have to be uploaded by us
  • image resizing
  • new rules on sigs???
  • PM limits but PMs can be easily downloaded

That was just a note to myself.

To explain more-we can't predict our bandwidth requirement, so we need to limit avatar size (in mB's) (in addition it plays hell with ppl on dialup). I have the set of avatars from bbboy and they will be uploaded once we get some sense of bandwidth-so you can chose from those. If you want a different avatar, you will have to give me or modie a link or email the file.

I understand the need for limits of avatar size. It's the emailing you guys with an outside link everytime that we want to update our avatars that I'm not keen on.
Is this going to be a temporary situation or will you be implementing the feature so that we can change this for ourselves in the future?

For the moment we're leaving it this way, I want to check out whether there is any security risk of allowing it (I don't think there is, but would like to be sure before I activate it).
